Exhibition of Stefan Talian's Art with Folklore Theme

It’s been a long exciting and sometimes difficult journey for me from Slovakia to USA. Dreams came true and now I am almost an American citizen.
My name is Stefan Talian.
I came to this country as an executive chef, ready to use all my degrees in professional cooking, hotel management and marketing and "make my life" in this industry. It was going well, when one day I was introduced to Bikram Yoga. Right away, I knew that something was about to change. It changed my daily workout regime at first. I found what I was looking for my whole life in the gym. Then, when I experienced all it's healing and spiritual part, I was SOLD. Not even a year later I became a certified teacher. Soon I realized that people coming to restaurant, love me for about 90 minutes when they're enjoying my food, but then they leave and hate me because they feel stuffed, fat and guilty. People coming for yoga hate me for 90 minutes, when I'm asking them to do crazy stuff with their bodies, but then they leave and they love me forever.. So I picked Yoga, started to travel and share it's magic. I enjoy watching people transforming their lives. I found my new home in San Diego. From first day I knew "I've arrived". Art was always part of my life, it was always for me something very special and meditative to do, but I thought it's something what I'm gonna do when I'm old on the porch of my lake house, because I can't do anything else.. On October 11th 2013 one friend suggest me to write about my feelings and about how I see my life. I could not do it. Then he asked me to paint about it. I tried, and it worked, at that very moment I found my style and art totally took over my life from inside out. I finally can understand what it really means "do what you love and you're never gonna have to work again". It's amazing feeling to know that little piece of me, something what I created with a lot of passion and love is bringing joy to someone's home.
